Discover Pol Kurucz, the French visual artist making a breakthrough to the blockchain and pioneering trans representation in NFTs
The work of Pol Kurucz is a visual feast, his Instagram has almost 100k followers and his feed is a totally scroll worthy treat for the eyes. Pol is known for flashy colours, provocative concepts, eccentric & diverse models, and a unique pop-art aesthetic. With a desire to keep up with the evolution of technology he is launching an NFT to boost a currently lacking trans representation in the NFT scene.
The featured piece is with Urias, a Brazillian trans singer, championing LGBTQI+ representation in Brazil, a country that is not widely known for accepting the LGBTQI+ community and with an infamous reputation for hate crimes. In the past, Pol has photographed Nikita Dragun, Pabllo Vittar (Urias’ best friend), Pearl Liaison, GiGi Goode, and season 13 winner, Symone.
When asked why he wanted to join the industry, Kurucz said “I can recognise the power and future of the blockchain, as an ever evolving technology, representation has yet to catch up and I want to be there at the beginning!” Recently, QueenlyNFT has launched a platform with work from well known drag queens such as; Bob The Drag Queen, Willam and Peppermint but alone it is not enough to bring the LGBTQI+ community to the blockchain. Pol brings a fresh and unique offering to the blockchain by putting a spotlight on a trans, South-American singer and adapting it to nod to crypto technology by bringing her dragon tattoo to life and bursting an Ethereum symbol. Pol approached NFTU, an agency that curates, produces, and markets quality NFTs that stand the test of time on the blockchain. The piece will be listed on KnownOrigin on the 22nd July.
